To achieve real sustainability, we need to take into account the many factors that affect it – in an integrated way.

It’s simple - treating sustainability and environmental issues as an ‘add on’ only considered at the end of projects often leads to an end result that lacks credibility and often costs more. 

At the most basic level – a last minute decision to use rainwater harvesting in a building is not going to work if you haven’t made sure that all measures have been taken to minimise water use in the first place.  

At all levels – early and integrated consideration of sustainability and environmental issues makes sense.

Businesses that are serious about sustainability now attract more clients. And those that take an integrated, holistic approach are more likely not only to succeed in their aspiration to be sustainable, but also to attract and keep more customers.
